View the Kat Von D Alchemist Palette In Action Before It& #039; s Released
While we anxiously countdown the days till December 24, Erik Soto has been getting a head start upon experimenting with the Kat Von D Alchemist Palette plus teasing us with pictures on Instagram. If you have no clue why we’re so jealous of Soto, who is Kat Von D’s global makeup artist, here’s a quick summarize. The tattoo artist-meets-beauty mogul has been working on a holographic palette for seven years— yes, almost a decade. Final month, she did a special pre-release at The Makeup Display Chicago, and we finally got a peek inside the triangular development. There were four “prismatic transformers, ” which is just an elegant name for iridescent powders that shift colors with respect to the way light hits. There’s Green Emerald, Blue Saphyre, Ultra-Violet Amethyst, and Pink Opal. When each tone is used alone, the finish is sheer and holographic, just like a particularly moony highlighter. When patted or brushed on top of other lipsticks, shadows or liners, they kind of become more active in delightfully unexpected ways. Soto showed us the way the latter looks in action. You might want to take a couple of deep breaths before scrolling down because the Kat Von D Goldmacher Palette is s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g.

Soto used all four shades to create this wintery alien eye makeup look and oil slick lips.
Green Emerald green was used as a highlighter here.
If you’re into the current metallic liquid lip stick trend, you’re welcome.
Soto also showed us the palette’s holographic package.
Also, Kat Vonseiten D posted swatches of each shade on three pores and skin tones.
Seriously, the number of days until Christmas Eve? We need this palette within our lives, like, yesterday. Just as a reminder, the Kat Von D Alchemist Palette will be available on sephora. com plus katvondbeauty. com December 24.
